A moderate eruptive activity of the volcano continues. Ash explosions up to 19,700 ft (6 km) a.s.l. could occur at any time. Ongoing activity could affect low-flying aircraft and airport of Severo-Kurilsk.

A moderate explosive activity of the volcano continues. According to visual data by volcanologists from Severo-Kurilsk, explosions sent ash up to 2.5 km a.s.l. on 21-22 and 24 April. Satellite data shows the volcano was quiet or obscured by clouds in the other days of Week.

Philippines , Taal :

TAAL VOLCANO BULLETIN 26 April 2019 8:00 A.M.

Taal Volcano’s seismic monitoring network recorded seven (7) volcanic earthquakes during the 24-hour observation period. Field measurements on 25 April 2019 at the eastern sector of the Main Crater Lake yielded no change in water temperature at 31.9°C, a decrease in water level from 0.31 meter to 0.22 meter and increase in acidity from pH 2.95 to pH 2.63. Ground deformation measurements through precise leveling surveys from March 18 to 27, 2019 indicated slight inflation of the edifice consistent with recent results from continuous GPS data.

Alert Level 1 remains in effect over Taal Volcano. This means that hazardous eruption is not imminent. The public, however, is reminded that the Main Crater should be strictly off-limits because sudden steam explosions may occur and high concentrations of toxic gases may accumulate. The northern portion of the Main Crater rim, in the vicinity of Daang Kastila Trail, may also become hazardous when steam emission along existing fissures suddenly increases. Furthermore, the public is also reminded that the entire Volcano Island is a Permanent Danger Zone (PDZ), and permanent settlement in the island is strongly not recommended.

Colombia , Cumbal :

Weekly Activity Bulletin of the Cumbal Volcanic Complex
The level of activity of the volcano continues at the level: YELLOW LEVEL ■ (III): CHANGES IN THE BEHAVIOR OF THE VOLCANIC ACTIVITY.

Following the activity of the CUMBAL VOLCANIC COMPLEX, the COLOMBIAN GEOLOGICAL SERVICE (SGC) reports that:

For the period evaluated between April 16 and April 22, 2019, the seismic activity recorded a slight increase compared to that reported in previous weekly periods, from 282 events the previous week to 308 earthquakes. The events associated with the fracture of solid materials inside the volcano were in the north-eastern sector of the Cumbal volcanic complex, with epicentral distances of less than 2 km, depths of up to 2 km compared to summit (4700 m) and magnitudes less than 0.1 Richter Scale.

Favorable climatic conditions made it possible to observe gas emissions coming mainly from the El Verde fumarol field, north-northeast of the volcanic complex. These emissions were white in color, low in height and variable in direction depending on the action of the winds.

The COLOMBIAN GEOLOGICAL SERVICE is attentive to the evolution of the volcanic phenomenon and will continue to inform in a timely manner of the observed changes.

Mexico , Popocatepetl :

April 25, 11:00 am (April 25, 16:00 GMT)

During the last 24 hours, 16 exhalations were identified using the monitoring systems of the Popocatépetl volcano, accompanied by water vapor, gas and occasionally light amounts of ash. There was also 318 minutes of tremor of very low amplitude and a volcano-tectonic type earthquake recorded yesterday at 22h47 with a magnitude of 1.4. During the night, only a slight incandescence was observed during the most important exhalations.

From this morning until the moment of this report, there is a constant emission of water vapor, volcanic gases and sometimes small amounts of ash, which the winds scatter to the East.

CENAPRED urges NOT to approach the volcano and in particular the crater, because of the risk of falling ballistic fragments, and in case of heavy rains, to stay away from ravine bottoms because of the risk of mudslides and debris.

The volcanic alert semaphore of Popocatepetl is located in PHASE 3 YELLOW.

Indonesia , Dukono :

Level of activity at Level II (WASPADA). The Dukono (1229 m above sea level) is experiencing a steady eruption.

Since yesterday at this morning, the volcano was clearly visible until it was covered with fog. The smoke from the crater was observed at a height of about 200 meters above the summit with a white to gray color and a thick intensity.

The recording of seismographs, April 25, 2019 noted:
4 earthquakes of eruption.
5 distant tectonic earthquakes
Tremor continuous with a dominant amplitude of 2 mm.

Recommendation:
People around G. Dukono and visitors / tourists should not climb and approach the crater of Malupang Warirang within a radius of 2 km.
