Elevation 1156 m (3792 ft)
Aviation Colour Code is YELLOW

A moderate activity of the volcano continues. Ash explosions up to 6 km (19,700 ft) a.s.l. could occur at any time. Ongoing activity could affect low-flying aircraft and airport of Severo-Kurilsk.

The phreatic explosion on the Ebeko volcano on 12 June, 2022. Ash removal up to 300-400 m above the crater.

A moderate activity of the volcano continues. The moderate single explosions with some amount of ash up to 2.5 km a.s.l., and small phreatic bursts were observing on 11-15 June.

Hawaii , Kilauea :

19°25’16 » N 155°17’13 » W,
Summit Elevation 4091 ft (1247 m)
Current Volcano Alert Level: WATCH
Current Aviation Color Code: ORANGE

Activity Summary:
The summit eruption of Kīlauea Volcano, within Halemaʻumaʻu crater, continued over the past 24 hours. All recent lava activity has been confined to the crater, and current data indicate that this scenario is likely to continue. No significant changes have been noted at the summit or in the East Rift Zone.

Halemaʻumaʻu crater Lava Lake Observations:
Eruption of lava from the Halemaʻumaʻu crater western vent into the active lava lake and ooze-outs onto the crater floor have continued over the past 24 hours. The active lava lake has shown continuous surface activity with lava lake levels stable over the last 24 hours, remaining below overflow. Lava ooze-out activity has continued along the northern and southern edges of the crater floor. Overflight measurements on June 17, 2022 indicated that the crater floor had seen a total rise of about 120 meters (394 feet).

Summit Observations:
Summit tiltmeters recorded deflation over the past 24 hours. A sulfur dioxide (SO2) emission rate of approximately 750 tonnes per day (t/d) was measured on June 16, 2022.

Ecuador , Sangay / Reventador :

DAILY REPORT OF THE STATE OF SANGAY VOLCANO, Saturday June 18, 2022.
Information Geophysical Institute – EPN.

Surface activity level: High, Surface trend: Ascending.
Internal activity level: High, Internal trend: No change.

Seismicity: From June 17, 2022, 11:00 a.m. to June 18, 2022, 11:00 a.m.:
Due to reference station transmission problems, seismic statistics for the past 24 hours are not available.

Rains / Lahars:
No rain was recorded in the area. **In the event of heavy rains, these could remobilize the accumulated materials, generating mudslides and debris that would descend on the flanks of the volcano and flow into the adjacent rivers.**

Emission / ash column:
Thanks to the cameras, no emission was observed, however, the VAAC recorded 3 ash emission alerts observed by satellites, which reached heights of 900 and 1200 meters above the level of the crater in a direction West. .

Other Monitoring Parameters:
The FIRMS system recorded 22 thermal alerts on the Sangay in the past 24 hours.

Observation:
Cloudiness was permanent in the area, preventing direct observation of surface activity.

Alert level: Orange.

DAILY REPORT OF THE STATE OF THE REVENTADOR VOLCANO, Saturday June 18, 2022.
Information Geophysical Institute – EPN.

Surface activity level: High, Surface trend: Downward.
Internal activity level: Moderate, Internal trend: No change.

Seismicity: From June 17, 2022, 11:00 a.m. to June 18, 2022, 11:00 a.m.:
Explosions (EXP) 92
Long Periods (LP) 65
Emission Tremors (TREMI ) 8
Harmonic Tremors (TRARM): 1

There was no interruption in the transmission of data from the reference station for seismic statistics.

Rains / Lahars:
Today in the morning there were rains in the area which did not generate secondary lahars or damage.

Emission / ash column:
During the last 24 hours, several ash emissions have been observed towards the West, the heights were about 800 meters above the level of the crater. The Washington VAAC reported 4 emissions alerts observed by the satellites, its direction remained West and the heights did not exceed 700 meters above the level of the crater.

Other Monitoring Parameters:
The FIRMS system recorded 3 thermal alerts on the Reventador in the last 24 hours.

Observation:
During the past 24 hours, the volcano has occasionally cleared, observing the emissions already described. At night, an incandescence was observed in the crater

Alert level: Orange.

LAHAR IN THE BARRANCA CENIZA, TRIBUTARY OF THE ACHIGUATE RIVER

The rains in the area of the volcanic complex are currently generating a lahar in the Barranca Ceniza, a tributary of the Achíguate River, with moderate to heavy characteristics due to the rains that persist in the area.

The lahar descends fine and hot volcanic materials, in addition to carrying branches and tree trunks, as well as blocks from 30 cm to 1.5 meters in diameter. The rains of the past few days have kept the volcanic deposits saturated with moisture, so lahars will continue to be generated at night and early in the morning.
