Italy , Stromboli :
Press release on the activity of Stromboli, 31 August 2024 15:51 (13:51 UTC) .
The National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology, Osservatorio Etneo, communicates that after the end of the lava overflow along the Sciara del Fuoco, reported in the previous press release of 30 August, which occurred around 21:00 UTC on 30 August, a new modest lava overflow started from around 03:00 UTC, which reached the minimum altitude of about 350-400 m. This overflow quickly dried up completely around 05:30 UTC. At the same time, ordinary explosive activity continues from the area of the North crater.
From a seismic point of view, the average amplitude of the volcanic tremor is currently at medium levels. No significant changes have been reported in the frequency of occurrence and amplitude of explosion earthquakes.
The inclinometric data recorded at Timpone del Fuoco and the high-frequency GNSS data do not show significant variations.
Further updates will be communicated shortly.

Indonesia , Ibu :
An eruption of Mount Ibu occurred on Sunday, 1 September 2024 at 13:05 WIT with the height of the ash column observed at ± 600 m above the summit (± 1925 m above sea level). The ash column was grey in colour with a thick intensity, oriented towards the North-East. At the time of writing this report, the eruption was still ongoing.

DAILY STATE REPORT OF SANGAY VOLCANO , Saturday, August 31, 2024 .
Information Geophysical Institute – EPN.
Surface Activity Level: High , Surface Trend: No change
Internal Activity Level: High , Internal Trend: No change
Seismicity: From August 30, 2024, 11:00 a.m. to August 31, 2024, 11:00 a.m.:
Seismicity:
Below is the count of seismic events recorded at the reference station
Explosion (EXP): 366
Rainfall/Lahars:
No rain has been recorded in the volcano area. **In the event of heavy rain, it could remobilize the accumulated materials, generating mud and debris flows that would descend the sides of the volcano and flow into adjacent rivers.**
Emissions/ash column:
Since yesterday afternoon, thanks to the surveillance camera system, several emissions of gas and ash have been recorded at heights below 800 meters above the crater level in a southwest direction. Associated with these emissions, the Washington VAAC agency has published an emission report with a height of 900 meters above the crater level in a west-southwest direction.
Other monitoring parameters:
The FIRMS satellite system recorded 3 thermal anomalies, the MIROVA-MODIS system recorded 2 thermal anomalies and the MIROVA-VIIRS satellite system recorded 1 thermal anomaly, during the last 24 hours.
Observation:
During the last night, several episodes of incandescence and descent of incandescent material were observed in the South-East ravine up to 500 meters below the crater level.
At the closing of this report, the volcano is clear.
Alert level: yellow

Peru , Sabancaya :
Analysis period: from August 19, 2024 to August 25, 2024, Arequipa, August 27, 2024
Alert level: ORANGE
The Geophysical Institute of Peru (IGP) reports that the eruptive activity of the Sabancaya volcano continues, that is, with the recording of an average of 58 daily explosions, with columns of ash and gas up to 2000 m above sea level above the summit of the volcano. Therefore, the volcanic alert level remains at ORANGE
The IGP recorded and analyzed the occurrence of 405 earthquakes of volcanic origin, associated with the circulation of magmatic fluids inside the Sabancaya volcano, as well as earthquakes related to rock fracturing. An average of 58 explosions were recorded daily.
Columns of ash and gas have been observed up to 2000 m above sea level above the summit of the volcano. The predominant direction of these emissions has been towards the South, Southeast and Northeast sectors of the volcano over a distance of less than 10 KM.
A slight inflation process continues to be recorded in the North sector (around the Hualca Hualca volcano).
Satellite recordings have identified the presence of 38 thermal anomalies, with a maximum value of 31 MW, associated with the presence of a lava body on the surface of the volcano’s crater.
Moderate emissions (5585 tons/day) of sulfur dioxide (SO2) have been observed
RECOMMENDATIONS
• Keep the volcanic alert level orange.
• Do not approach within a radius of less than 12 km of the crater.

La Martinique , Mount Pelée :
Weekly report, Institut de physique du globe de Paris, Observatoire volcanologique et seismologique de Martinique
Activity of Mount Pelée, Saint-Pierre, on August 30, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. local time (GMT-4)
No earthquake of volcanic origin was observed this week.
Between August 23, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. (UT) and August 30, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. (UT), the OVSM did not record any volcano-tectonic earthquakes.
The previous week, the OVSM recorded 10 earthquakes of volcanic origin. As of August 30, 2024 and during the last 4 weeks, the OVSM has therefore observed a total of 13 volcanic earthquakes, an average of 3 to 4 earthquakes per week.
During the volcanic reactivation phases of volcanoes similar to Mount Pelée, it is common to observe seismic activity that varies in intensity and frequency.
For more details on observations and interpretations of volcanic activity over the longer term, refer to the OVSM monthly bulletins.
The alert level is currently YELLOW: vigilance.
