Italy / Sicily , Etna :
Weekly bulletin from April 20, 2020 to April 26, 2020 (issue date April 28 , 2020)
SUMMARY OF ACTIVITY STATUS
In light of the monitoring data, it is highlighted:
1) VOLCANOLOGICAL OBSERVATIONS: Strombolian and effusive intra-crater activity of the Voragine crater. Low intra-crater strombolian activity in the New Southeast Crater.
2) SEISMOLOGY: Modest seismic fracturing activity; the amplitude of the volcanic tremor was almost constantly high.
3) INFRASONES: Animated infrasound activity from April 22
4) DEFORMATIONS: The Etna soil deformation monitoring networks did not show any significant variation to report last week.
5) GEOCHEMISTRY: the flow of SO2 is at a medium-low level. Soil CO2 flow values are medium-high values. The partial pressure of dissolved CO2 does not show significant variations. The isotopic ratio of helium is fixed at medium-high values (last update of 2/14/2020). No update is available for the C / S report
6) SATELLITE OBSERVATIONS: The thermal activity in the summit area is at a medium-low level.
VOLCANOLOGICAL OBSERVATIONS
During the week, monitoring of Etna activity was carried out through the surveillance cameras of the INGV – Section of Catania (INGV-OE).
During the week in question, although the bad weather conditions limited the observations, it was possible to note that the eruptive activity within the crater of Voragine continues with the same characteristics as the previous weeks. In particular, an explosive strombolian activity is produced by the intra-crater slag cone which produces the launch of pyroclastic materials several hundred meters above the edge of the crater. Effusive activity, considerably reduced over the past week, continues to be produced by a mouth located on the eastern flank of the main cone. Finally, the new crater of the Southeast after the intense phase of the eruption eruptive on April 19 was affected by a strong pulsed degassing and by a weak explosive activity intra-crater which produces incandescences during the night.
Volcanic tremors: The average RMS amplitude of volcanic tremors showed significant changes with fluctuations around the average to high values for the first two days of the week, similar to what was observed the previous week. Thereafter, from April 22, the amplitude of the tremor finally settled at high values and in the following days, it showed a modest tendency to increase its background level, the latter being interrupted by a few peaks of limited duration, probably associated with an increase in explosive activity in the New Southeast Crater. The most significant peak occurred on April 23 and reached its maximum value around 3:20 UTC. The location of the center of gravity of the sources of the tremor is located in the area of the South-East crater (SEC) at an altitude between 2,600 and 3,000 meters above sea level.

Strombolian and gas-steam activity of Klyuchevskoy volcano on 27 April, 2020.
Volcanic Activity Summary:
A moderate explosive-effusive eruption of the volcano continues. The Strombolian and sometimes Vulcanian types of volcanic activity is observing. The lava flow continues to move on the southeastern flank of the volcano (the Apakhonchich chute), phreatic bursts and collapse of loose slag material accompany this process. According to satellite data, a gas-steam plume containing some amount of ash is extending about 54 km to the west of the volcano.
This explosive eruption continues. Ash explosions up to 16,400-23,000 ft (5-7 km) a.s.l. could occur at any time. Ongoing activity could affect low-flying aircraft.
Volcanic cloud height:
16400-18040 ft (5000-5500 m) AMSL Time and method of ash plume/cloud height determination: 20200428/2254Z – NOAA 18 (4m5).
Other volcanic cloud information:
Distance of ash plume/cloud of the volcano: 34 mi (54 km)
Direction of drift of ash plume/cloud of the volcano: W / azimuth 271 deg

Volcanic Activity Summary:
A moderate eruptive activity of the volcano continues. According to visual data by volcanologists from Severo-Kurilsk, explosion sent ash up to 3.5 km a.s.l., an ash cloud is drifting to the south-east of the volcano.
This eruptive activity continues. Ash explosions up to 19,700 ft (6 km) a.s.l. could occur at any time. Ongoing activity could affect low-flying aircraft and airport of Severo-Kurilsk.

Colombia , Chiles / Cerro Negro :
Weekly activity bulletin of Chiles and Cerro Negro volcanoes
The volcanic activity continues at: YELLOW LEVEL ■ (III): CHANGES IN THE BEHAVIOR OF VOLCANIC ACTIVITY.
According to the monitoring of the activity of VOLCANS CHILE and CERRO NEGRO, the COLOMBIAN GEOLOGICAL SERVICE (SGC) reports that:
Between April 21 and April 27, 2020, seismic activity in the Chiles – Cerro Negro volcano region recorded a slight drop in occurrence and released energy compared to that presented the previous week.
The predominance of events associated with the rupture of the rock in the volcanic building is maintained. This seismicity was located mainly in the south and southwest of the volcanic complex, at epicentral distances up to 8.5 km from the summit of Chiles, at depths less than 10 km and a maximum local magnitude of 1.8 over Richter scale. The deformation was maintained at one of the monitoring stations. The other geophysical and geochemical parameters of volcanic monitoring did not show significant variations.

Guatemala , Pacaya :
Atmospheric conditions: partly cloudy.
Wind: north at 5 k / h.
Precipitation: 0.0 mm.
Activity:
Because of the cloudy sky, we sometimes observe the volcano with white fumaroles, which the wind moves towards the South, the Southwest. At night and early in the morning, the Mackenney crater was observed, with incandescence and weak explosions, of Strombolian type at a height of 50, 75 and 100 meters above the crater. The PCG and PCG5 seismic stations record tremors associated with the rise of magma and gases. There is a lava flow 300 meters long in a south direction. With the strong seismicity recorded last night, it was generated by the opening of a crack on the northwest flank of the volcanic building, where only gases emanate. It is located opposite the village of Los Llanos, (For more information on the lava flow, see the special volcanic bulletin OVPAC # 09-2020).
