Alaska , Trident :
58°14’3″ N 155°6’9″ W,
Summit Elevation 3599 ft (1097 m)
Current Volcano Alert Level: ADVISORY
Current Aviation Color Code: YELLOW
Small, shallow earthquakes continued under Trident and neighboring volcanoes over the past day. In addition, deeper (greater than 20 km or 12 miles) volcanic earthquakes and seismic tremor were also observed. No volcanic activity was observed in cloudy satellite imagery.
The current period of seismic unrest began in August 2022. Increases in seismic activity have been detected previously at Trident Volcano and other similar volcanoes and did not result in eruptions. We expect additional shallow seismicity and other signs of unrest, such as gas emissions, elevated surface temperatures, and ground movement, to precede any future eruption if one were to occur.
Trident Volcano is monitored by local seismic sensors, web cameras, regional infrasound and lightning networks, and satellite data.

Indonesia , Ili Lewotolok :
An eruption of Mount Ili Lewotolok occurred on Sunday, December 10, 2023, at 10:00 WITA. The height of the eruptive column was observed to be ± 300 m above the peak (± 1,723 m above sea level). The ash column was white to gray in color with moderate intensity, oriented towards the North. The eruption was recorded on a seismograph with a maximum amplitude of 23.6 mm and a duration of 89 seconds.

Chile , Villarica :
Special Report on Volcanic Activity (REAV), La Araucanía and Los Ríos regions, Villarrica volcano, December 9, 2023, 8:30 p.m. local time (mainland Chile)
The National Geology and Mining Service of Chile (Sernageomin) announces the following PRELIMINARY information, obtained through the monitoring equipment of the National Volcanic Monitoring Network (RNVV), processed and analyzed at the Southern Andean Volcano Observatory (Ovdas):
On Saturday, December 9, 2023, at 8:09 p.m. local time (11:09 p.m. UTC), monitoring stations installed near the Villarrica volcano recorded an earthquake associated with fluid dynamics inside the volcanic system (long-period type).
The characteristics of the earthquake after its analysis are as follows:
ORIGINAL TIME: 8:09 p.m. local time (11:09 p.m. UTC)
REDUCED TRAVEL: 72.6 (cm*cm)
ACOUSTIC SIGNAL: 14.5 Pascals (Pa) reduced to 1 km
The characteristics of the associated surface activity are as follows:
MAXIMUM HEIGHT OF THE COLUMN: 120 meters above the point of emission
DIRECTION OF DISPERSION: East-North-East (ENE)
Observation :
Following the event (8:11 p.m. local time), the emission of a low-altitude, brown-colored ash pulse was recorded, not necessarily associated with the reported LP event, with the height and dispersion parameters described above.
The technical volcanic alert is maintained at YELLOW level.

Colombia , Cumbal :
Weekly activity bulletin from the Cumbal Volcanic Complex.
Regarding the monitoring of the activity of the CUMBAL VOLCANIC COMPLEX (CVC), the MINISTRY OF MINES AND ENERGY, through the COLOMBIAN GEOLOGICAL SERVICE (SGC), reports that:
For the period from November 28 to December 4, 2023, compared to previous weeks, the parameters for evaluating volcanic seismicity showed a slight increase in occurrence, although with a decrease in energy levels. The predominant seismicity was associated with fracturing of rocks within the volcanic complex. The earthquakes were located near the La Plazuela crater, at distances of up to 1.5 km and at depths less than 2 km, compared to the reference height (4,700 m above sea level) ; the maximum magnitude was 0.6.
Gas emissions were recorded from the El Verde fumarolic field, northeast of the CVC, and from the Los Rastrojos fumarolic fields, southwest of the CVC, with white columns, of low height and variable dispersion, depending on the wind regime. Other volcanic monitoring parameters showed stability.
Volcanic activity remains on YELLOW ALERT Status: Active volcano with changes in baseline behavior of monitored parameters and other manifestations.

Ecuador , Reventador :
DAILY REPORT ON THE STATE OF THE REVENTADOR VOLCANO, Saturday December 9, 2023.
Information Geophysical Institute – EPN.
Surface activity level: Moderate, Surface trend: No changes
Internal activity level: Moderate, Internal trend: No changes
Seismicity: From December 8, 2023, 11:00 a.m. to December 9, 2023, 11:00 a.m.:
The following table shows the number of seismic events from the reference station in the last 24 hours.
Explosion (EXP) 36
Long Period (LP) 5
Transmitting Tremor (TREMI) 17
Harmonic Tremor (VT) 2
Precipitation/Lahars:
Rainfall is not recorded. **In the event of heavy rains, these could remobilize the accumulated materials, generating mud and debris flows which would descend the sides of the volcano and flow into adjacent rivers.
Emissions/ash column:
Yesterday afternoon, thanks to the network of surveillance cameras, 2 emissions of gas and ash were recorded with heights of 300 and 500 meters above the level of the crater in the West direction. In contrast, the Washington VAAC has not published a report on ash emissions.
Observation:
Since yesterday, the volcano has remained cloudy most of the time and with poor visibility both on the surveillance camera system and on satellite images. At the time of closing this report, the volcano is completely cloudy.
Alert level: Orange.
