Sabancaya , Peru :
The record of explosive activity during this week shows a decrease, averaging 42 EXP / day. On the other hand, earthquakes associated with the movement of fluids (long period type) and events associated with ash emissions (Tremor type) have increased in number and hours of recording. Finally, the events related to the rise of magma (hybrid type) are very sporadic and low energy.
The eruptive columns of gas and ash remained similar to the previous week, reaching a maximum height of about 2900 m above the crater.
The dispersal of these materials occurred within a radius of about 60 km, mainly to the west, north-west and north.
The volcanic gas flow (SO2) recorded on December 26 has a maximum value of 1034 tons / day, a value considered large.
Three thermal anomalies were recorded according to the MIROVA system, with values between 5 MW and 12 MW VRP (Irradiated Volcano Power).
In general, eruptive activity maintains moderate levels. No major changes are expected in the following days.

Sinabung , Indonesia :
Activity Level of Level IV (AWAS). The Sinabung (2460 m altitude) since yesterday until this morning was often covered with fog. The smoke rising from the crater, during the periods when the volcano was discovered, could be observed rising from 100 to 500 m above the volcano. The wind is blowing moderately to the South, Southwest and East. Thanks to the recording of the seismographs, 2 eruption / emission events were recorded with ash columns rising at altitudes of 1200 to 2000 m above the ridges. Finally, 61 avalanche events with slip distances of 1000 to 1500 m were recorded on the south and east slopes.
Recommendations:
Communities / visitors should not do activities within 3 km of the summit, and by sector, 7 km to the South-South-East, 6 km East-South-East and 4 km to the South-East. km northeast.
The deposits formed a dam upstream on the Laborus River. People living in downstream river basins and around the Laborus River need to be vigilant because these dams can collapse at any time and no longer retain water volume, resulting in downstream lahars / floods .

Kanlaon, Philippines :
KANLAON VOLCANO BULLETIN 04 January 2018 8:00 A.M.
Kanlaon Volcano’s seismic monitoring network recorded one hundred-ninety seven (197) volcanic earthquakes, 195 of which are microearthquakes, and fourteen (14) episodes of tremor lasting 2 to 30 minutes during the past 24 hours. Moderate emission of white steam-laden plumes that drifted to the west was observed during times when the crater was visible. Ground deformation data from continuous GPS measurements indicate slight inflation of the edifice since December 2015. Sulfur dioxide (SO2) emission was measured at an average of 640 tonnes/day on 3 January 2018.
Alert Level 2 status prevails over Kanlaon Volcano, which means that the volcano is undergoing a moderate level of unrest. There is probable intrusion of magma at depth which may or may not lead to a magmatic eruption. The local government units and the public are strictly reminded that entry into the 4-kilometer radius Permanent Danger Zone (PDZ) is strictly prohibited due to the further possibilities of sudden and hazardous steam-driven or phreatic eruptions. Civil aviation authorities must also advise pilots to avoid flying close to the volcano’s summit as ejecta from any sudden phreatic eruption can be hazardous to aircraft.
DOST-PHIVOLCS is closely monitoring Kanlaon Volcano’s activity and any new development will be relayed to all concerned.

Cumbal , Colombia :
Subject: Cumbal Volcano Activity Bulletin.
The level of activity of the volcano is maintained at the level:
YELLOW LEVEL ■ (III): CHANGES IN THE BEHAVIOR OF VOLCANIC ACTIVITY
Following the activity of the CUMBAL VOLCANIC COMPLEX, the COLOMBIAN GEOLOGICAL SERVICE informs that:
For the week of December 26, 2017 to January 1, 2018, the seismic activity has increased slightly compared to the previous week, with predominance of events associated with the movement of fluids inside the volcano. Rock-type earthquakes were preferably located near the two active centers of the volcanic complex, La Plazuela to the northeast and Mundo Nuevo to the southwest, with depths of up to 13 km below the summit (4700 m). ) and a maximum local magnitude of M1.8 degrees on the Richter scale.
Favorable climatic conditions made it possible to highlight the gas emissions during all the days of the evaluation period, mainly coming from the El Verde fumarolic fields in the North-East and Rastrojos, in the South-West of the volcanic complex. The emission columns were observed white, of low height and of variable dispersion according to the direction of the wind.
The Colombian Geological Survey continues to monitor the evolution of the volcanic phenomenon and will continue to report in a timely manner if changes are detected.
