Agung , Indonesia :

On the basis of the results of the visual and instrumental data analysis and considering the potential threats of danger, on November 27, 2017 at 06:00, the status of G. Agung returned from Level III (SIAGA) to Level IV (AWAS). Since yesterday and until today visually the volcano is clearly visible until the appearance of the mist. The white smoke emission from the crater reaches a height of about 500-1000 m above the summit, sloping to the southeast and east. At night, the glow of the incandescent lava in the crater is not observed. That day, there is no explosive eruption and no recorded tremor above the ladder.

Seismograph records for December 3, 2017 have noted:
8 shallow volcanic earthquakes (VB)
17 volcanic earthquakes (VA)
1 local tectonic earthquake.
No earthquakes of explosive eruption.
17 Low Frequency events.
4 earthquakes of emission.
A continuous tremor with an amplitude of 1 to 4 mm and a dominant value at 1 mm.

Recommendation: The communities around G. Agung and climbers / visitors / travelers must not ride or do any activity in the G. Agung Crater Danger Zone and in all areas within 8 km of the G crater. Agung. A sectoral extension has been added north-northeast and south-east-south-south-west up to 10 km from the crater of G. Agung. The risks of the estimated areas are dynamic and continuously assessed and can be modified at any time based on the most recent observation data from G. Agung.

AMLAPURA, BALIPOST.com – For the last few days, the smoke released by Mount Agung has been decreasing. Even on Sunday (3/12), smoke was not observed. But on Monday (4/12) morning, the height of the visible re-emitted smoke reaches 500 meters and still has a fine white color that is dominated by water vapor.
According to the head of the Mount Agung Surveillance Subdivision, Dedy Kamil Syahbana, the activity is still high. Volcanic seismicity recorded for 24 hours and added from the last six hours reached up to 26 events. As for the low-frequency earthquakes, they reach the number of 20. « The strong volcanic earthquakes indicate that there is still excessive pressure inside Mount Agung. » In the case of low frequency earthquakes they indicate that the flow of magma continues to rise towards the surface of the crater. For volcanic earthquakes, the source is deeper, but the low frequency earthquakes have a more superficial source, « he explained.
According to the results of geochemical measurements, said Devy, the contribution of magmatic CO2 gas is higher than before. If the two days before the emission of gas was only 300 tons a day, now it amounts to 1300 tons per day. In comparison with Mount Sinabung, SO2 gas is only 300 to 600 t / day, while Mount Agung is twice that of Sinabung. « We can conclude that the activity of Mount Agung is still high, it’s just that we do not know when the eruption will occur or its size, » he said.

Devy said the ash is still there but weakly. « Exposure to volcanic ash is still inside the crater area only, so it did not bother air traffic, for now it’s still safe, » he said.
He explained, based on the latest satellite monitoring data, the slow growth of the lava flow on the surface of the crater was recorded. In addition, on the surface of the crater is also noted a cooling around the top of the lava.

He explained, based on the latest satellite monitoring data, the slow growth of the lava flow on the surface of the crater was recorded. In addition, on the surface of the crater is also noted a cooling around the top of the lava.
He explained, that there are several factors that make the slow growth of lava on the surface of the crater. For example on the surface, the lava layer cools and thickens. This could also be due to the dynamics in the mountain itself.
« We can not yet calculate whether the magma slows down to the surface in a linear way because sometimes there is faster growth, sometimes it slows down too.We can not predict that, we can only monitor with all the tools we have at hand Basically, the activity is still high and the eruption potential still exists, so the danger radius remains at 8 km and the extension of 10 km, « he said. Ticsani , Peru :

Seismo-volcanic surveillance:
 Seismic activity levels during this period remained within normal parameters. In general, the dominant activity in the Ticsani volcano region is subject to rock fracture events (type VT). This seismicity was in the form of swarms (grouping of earthquakes in a period of time).
 VTP earthquakes (Volcano-Tectonic Proximal), related to rock fracturing, have an average rate of 15 VT per day, similar to the previous period (Report No. 21, 14 VT). A peak of seismicity was observed on November 29 due to the presence of a seismic swarm where up to 120 events were recorded.
 VTD earthquakes (distal volcano-tectonic earthquakes) are observed in small numbers. An average rate similar to the previous period was recorded, with 6 VTDs per day.
 The occurrence of Hybrid events is sporadic. During this period, the occurrence of this type of event was not observed.

Location of events:
Calculation of hypocentral parameters for 43 fracture type earthquakes was performed. As it is characteristic, the seismicity is of superficial type and on this occasion earthquakes having reached a depth of 13 km compared to the surface of the crater were observed. The spatial distribution shows a small group of earthquakes near the Ticsani volcano. Localized earthquakes reached amplitudes not exceeding 3.0 ML (local magnitude).

 Sismo-volcanic activity in the Ticsani region maintains low levels. The predominant events in this region are associated with rock fracture and located near Ticsani.
 VTP earthquakes have a daily rate of 15 VTP per day. A swarm of proximal fracture type earthquakes was also observed on November 29th. VTD type seismicity continues to have low levels of its daily seismicity rate.
 Regarding the spatial distribution of the fracturing earthquakes, a small group near the Ticsani volcano has been observed.

Popocatépetl , Mexico :

December 03, 11:00 h (December 03, 17:00 GMT)

In the last 24 hours, through the seismic records of the Popocatépetl volcano monitoring systems, 450 low intensity exhalations accompanied by water vapor and gas were identified. In addition, four low intensity explosions were identified: The most important occurred at 2:28 pm yesterday  ; at 00:43 today  and at 01:49 today . These events produced ash emissions of up to 1.5 km in height that were dispersed by the winds towards the southwest.

On the other hand, a volcanotectonic earthquake with magnitude 2.3 was recorded. 230 minutes of harmonic tremor were recorded.

From today in the morning until the moment of this report the volcano has been observed with a slight emission of water vapor and gas that the winds scatter to the southwest.

CENAPRED urges NOT TO APPROACH the volcano and above all the crater, due to the danger of the fall of ballistic fragments , and in case of heavy rains to move away from the bottoms of ravines due to the risk of landslides and mudflows.
