Manam , Papua New Guinea :
PNG volcano eruption alert level raised , 9:41 am today
Evacuation warnings have been issued again for Papua New Guinea’s Manam Island as the island’s volcano continues to rumble and spew ash.
The National reported the eruption alert level for the Manam volcano has been raised to stage three, a sign that people had to be moved off.
The volcano, which dominates Manam Island off the mainland’s north-east coast, erupted nine days ago.
Disaster authorities were recommending people leave as soon as possible.
A councillor for Dugulava village on the island said there were rumbling, blasts and spewing ashes from the volcano on Sunday night.
He said they had begun moving women and children to Bogia on the mainland.

Poas , Costa Rica :
Poas Volcano Activity Report, April 25, 2017, updated at 11:30
During the last 24 hours, Poas volcanoes have recorded few and small phreatic eruptions. A low amplitude volcanic tremor seismic signal is recorded almost continuously, which is consistent with the presence of a vigorous plume of steam, gas and aerosols that rises vertically above the bottom of the active crater until ‘At about 1 km of altitude. There were also long period earthquakes (LPS), and some volcano-tectonic events (VTs), these being associated with the rupture of the rock. This morning at 00:27 hours a tectonic earthquake was recorded, located 1 km southwest of the Poas Volcano with a magnitude of M2.7 degrees.
During the day, the Poas plume dispersed mainly west-north-east, but so far there have been no reports of ash falls or sulfur odor.
At present, volcanologists from OVSICORI-A are on the Poas volcano to assess the status of the monitoring instruments, in view of the destruction of several of them by phreatomagmatic eruptions and the emission of fragments Of rocks from past days. In the present conditions of eruption of the Poas volcano, it is possible to expect in the short term to other eruptions.

Nevado Del Ruiz , Colombia :
Weekly activity bulletin of the volcano Nevado del Ruiz, from 18 to 24 April, 2017.
The level of activity continues: at the level of yellow activity or (III): changes in the behavior of the volcanic activity.
As regards the monitoring of the activity of the Nevado del Ruiz volcano, the Colombian Geological Survey reports that:
Over the past week, the various monitoring parameters show that the Nevado del Ruiz volcano continues to show unstable behavior.
The seismicity caused by the fracturing of rocks under the volcano, showed a decrease in the number of earthquakes and seismic energy released compared to the previous week. An increase in activity breaks out, on 20 April from 8:34 to 11:55 (local time), which was located in the Southeast zone, at depths ranging from 3 to 4 km. The maximum amplitude of the increase and week was 0.9 ML (local magnitude), recorded on April 20 at 08:38 (local time) at a depth of 3.3 km. The seismicity of the week was mainly located in the Southeast, Northeast and to a lesser extent in the Arenas crater. The depths of the earthquakes ranged from 0.4 to 7.1 km.
With regard to the seismic activity associated with fluid dynamics in the volcanic structure, it remained at energy levels similar to the previous week. This type of activity is mainly characterized by the presence of several earthquakes of fluids, long and very long period events and tremor pulses, with varying energy levels and durations. Some of these seismic signals have been associated with emissions of gases and ash into the atmosphere, as confirmed by the images captured by the cameras installed in the volcano area and by reports from Los Nevados National Park officials and Of the Colombian Geological Survey who were working on the ground. Recordings of such seismic signals with higher energy levels are not excluded, which may be associated with emissions of gas and ash. It is important to remember that the ash emission processes can occur for several days and sometimes several times during the day, without involving an individual report for each episode.
Volcanic deformation, measured from electronic inclinometers, of global navigation satellite systems (GNSS) and satellite imagery to determine changes in inclination, position and shape of the volcano continues to record over A deflationary process and intermittent inflation / deflation impulses, possibly linked to the emission of gases and ash.
The volcano continues to emit significant amounts of water vapor and gases, including sulfur dioxide (SO2), as shown by the values obtained by the SCANDOAS stations installed in the volcano zone and the analysis Satellite image. In the follow-up information provided by NASA and Mírová FIRMES, two low-energy thermal anomalies on 23 and 24 April were identified.
The columns of gas, steam and ash from time to time have reached a maximum height of 1300 m measured on the top of the volcano on 20 April. The direction of dispersal of the column was in line with the direction of the wind in the zone, which predominated during the week towards the Northwest and the Southeast of the volcano.
The volcano Nevado del Ruiz continues to activity level Amarillo.

Fuego , Guatemala :
The Fuego Volcano Observatory reports the descent of a lahar fort through Canyon Ceniza, which began around 17:00, following heavy rains that affect the top of the volcano that are mixed with deposits of pyroclastic flows. Columns of steam rise from the ravine, so that the temperature of the lahar is classified as high.
This lahar carries a fine volcanic material, blocks with diameters of about 2 meters, trunks and branches. This activity generates sounds produced by the collision of the blocks transported in the canyon Ceniza audible to one kilometer. The constant activity of the Fuego volcano in recent months has generated deposits of volcanic matter in the main canyons, and due to the accumulation of moisture and constant rainfall in the volcanic zone, the possibility of lahars descent persists, mainly In the ravines: Honda, Las Lajas, El jute, Trinidad, Ceniza, Taniluyá and Santa Teresa, tributaries of the rivers: Pantaleon, Achiguate and Guacalate.
These lahars can damage the roads of vehicles between San Andrés and Siquinalá Osuna, from Rodeo to Guadalupe and others, it is necessary to take the necessary precautions.
