The activity of Reventador volcano remains « high »
February 14, 2016. The Ecuadorian volcano, Reventador, maintains a « high » activity; This was reported today, Sunday, February 14, by the Geophysical Institute (IG) of the National Polytechnic School . They also reported that from its crater, glowing objects have been issued in the last hours.
According to the report of the IG during the night of Saturday, February 13, the cameras showed incandescent material falling 700 meters below the crater, on the southwest side of the volcano They added that in the evening and Saturday morning, the volcano « had been covered and was not allowed to record the activity at the surface.«
In addition, the Geophysical Institute reported that the » low »activity of the Tungurahua volcano continues. « Yesterday in the afternoon, the volcano view was clear, and it presented no surface activity in its crater, the rest of the time the volcano remained cloudy » they have said in their Twitter account .
Report on the state of Reventador volcano Sunday, February 14, 2016.
SUMMARY OF THE ACTIVITIES OF THE VOLCANO
The volcano continues with high activity.
During the evening hours, the cameras observed the emission of incandescent material 700 meters below the crater, on the southwest side, at other times, the volcano remained cloudy.
TECHNICAL AND OBSERVATIONS ANNEX
64 long-period events (LP), 44 explosions (EXP), 9 episodes of harmonic tremor (TRA) and 39 episodes of tremor emission (TRE) were recorded.
Observations of emissions and ashes:
During yesterday afternoon and this morning, the volcano remained cloudy, involving the inability to record surface activity.
However during the night, incandescent rocks were visualized, falling on the southwest flank of the volcano about 700 meters below the crater rim.
Rains and lahars:
It was not recorded rainfall on the volcano.
The report, on a daily basis, will be published at 12:00 (TL) and when the activity level of the volcano will require. In the case of an increase or a change in the behavior of the volcano, it will be also published a special report immediately.

Soputan, Indonesie :
Based on visual observations of Soputan, it has generally been difficult to observe because of the fog. Crater was a thin white smoke with a height of 20-200 m. On February 6, 2016 at 13:00 eruption emitted a column of a height of about 3000 m, the eruption ejected lava flows, hot clouds, and had glowing body burst and ash, this event lasted until February 7, 2016. Then, this thin white smoke from the crater at the summit was observed, high of 20 to 200 m.
Seismicity of Soputan, in the period from February 6 to 15, 2016 at 18:00 is dominated by avalanches and bursts of earthquakes. Volcanic earthquake (VA) were recorded in a number between 1 to 3 episodes per day. It was recorded many earthquakes of emissions and avalanches. Low frequency tremor and volcanic earthquakes shallow (VB) were recorded. The earthquake of avalanches still high and have shown that intake of magma to the surface is still relevant and the registration of fluctuating SSAM data.
Following the results of the analysis of visual evaluation and instrumental data, on February 15, 2016 at 18:00, the level of volcanic activity Soputan is still at level III (Siaga).
Intensive surveillance is conducted to evaluate the activity of Soputan, as well as providing information on the danger of the eruption of Mount Soputan, communicated periodically to the local administration, the BNPB, and other related organizations. The information will be coordinated with the communities around Mount Soputan so people can understand the activity and potential risks that may be caused by the eruptions.
In case of changes decrease / increase in significant volcanic activity of Soputan, the activity level can be lowered / raised and adjusted to the level of activity and threats.

Popocatepetl , Mexique :
February 14 11:15 h (February 14 17:15 GMT)
In the last 24 hours the seismic records of the surveillance system at Popocatépetl volcano registered 21 low-intensity exhalations mainly accompanied by steam, gas and ash. The most relevant ocurred yesterday at 12:19 h , 16:19 h , 18:12 h , 18:23 h , 19:38 h , 21:21 h and today at 08:49 h .
At the time of this report, the volcano presents a continuous emission mainly formed by steam and gas wich is moving to the southeast .
CENAPRED emphasizes that people SHOULD NOT go near the volcano, especially near the crater, due to the hazard caused by ballistic fragments .
This type of activity is included within the scenarios Volcanic Traffic Light Yellow Phase 2.

Bulusan, Philippines :
BULUSAN VOLCANO BULLETIN 15 February 2016 8:00 A.M.
Bulusan Volcano’s seismic monitoring network recorded one (1) volcanic earthquake during the past 24 hours. Steaming activity could not be observed due to thick clouds covering the summit. Precise leveling survey results from December 2-7, 2015 indicated slight inflationary changes of the volcano’s edifice relative to September 2015, consistent with ground deformation measurements from continuous GPS data since August 2015.
Alert Level 1 (abnormal) remains in effect over Bulusan Volcano. This indicates that hydrothermal processes are underway beneath the volcano that may lead to steam-driven eruptions. The local government units and the public are reminded that entry to the 4-kilometer radius Permanent Danger Zone (PDZ) is strictly prohibited due to the possibility of sudden and hazardous steam-driven or phreatic eruptions.
