Ticsani , Peru :
The Tiscani volcano, located 8 km east of the city of Calacoa (Moquegua) is a stratovolcano whose principal characteristic is to present very large avalanches. In the vicinity of the volcano, scattered deposits are observed that indicate a possible major eruption phreatomagmatic, there are less than 400 years ,whose center (crater) contains the most recent dome. Currently , near the volcano Ticsani , there are hot springs and some geysers located west domes.
Today, a possible eruption of the volcano Ticsani is a potential danger for surrounding villages like Calacoa (8 km of the recent crater) Carumas (11 km), and others, located to the west within 12 km around the volcano, where more than 5,000 people live.
South Volcano Observatory (OVS) of the Geophysical Institute of Peru (IGP) followed seismic activity and behavior of the volcano Ticsani by a newly installed local telemetric network, which has been open since August 2015.
Vt type of events (fracturing rocks) had important values, with an increase compared to the previous period (Report No. 08-2015, 78 VT/ day). The average value observed was 219 VT / day, peaking up to 699 VT on January 14. During this period, about 11 seismic swarms, consisting of many events related to rock fracturing have occurred. Today, a maximum number of VT events (spin) was observed.
LP-type events related to fluid movement, remains low with 2 LP / day; However, on January 20, 11 events were observed. In general, this type of activity is not relevant.
The Tremor type earthquakes recorded a daily rate of 2.6 min / day. These events are sporadic. Usually they are of short duration and low amplitude.
The location of earthquakes fracture type, in January 2016 , was performed using the program Hypoellipse (Lahr, 1999), situating 730 earthquakes of fracture, all Grade A. Events are mainly distributed near the volcano Ticsani with magnitudes between 3.4 and 1 ML. In addition, four earthquakes are observed groups: one located 3 km northwest of the volcano, the second located 4 km south-east of the volcano, a third group 5 km east of the volcano and finally, a group not very pronounced, 10 km southeast of Ticsani. It must be noted that these earthquakes are located between 1.2 km and 11 km deep.
Anomalies SO2: The satellite system « EOS Aura » GSDM-NASA (http://so2.gsfc.nasa.gov/) noted low density levels of SO2 gas in this period.
Thermal anomalies: The Mirova system (www.mirovaweb.it) has not detected thermal anomalies during this period on the Ticsani volcano.

Turrialba , Costa Rica :
Turrialba volcano in Costa Rica had an eruption of gas and ash
2 FEBRUARY 2016. The volcano Turrialba, in Costa Rica had a « passive » eruption of ash and gas that rose about 500 meters above the crater, reported an official source. The Volcanological and Seismological Observatory (OVSICORI) said in a report that it emanated giant steam, gases and small ash expulsions.
For weather conditions, the cloud was moved by the wind with a scattering direction south and up to the greater metropolitan area, where the country’s main cities, including the capital. The volcano has entered an active phase of greater constancy since October 2014 and since then has made several eruptions of ash, gases and incandescent material.
Turrialba, which is also a National Park, is located about 70 kilometers east of San Jose and its accesses are closed as a preventive measure. The volcano is situated at 3340 meters altitude and is the second highest in Costa Rica, second only to the Irazu volcano.

Popocatepetl , Mexico :

In the last 24 hours the seismic records of the surveillance system at Popocatépetl volcano registered 35 low-intensity exhalations and nine explosion, four yesterday , and five today . The atmospheric conditions allowed to observe the emissions that wind carried to the east-northeast .
Along the night was observed slight incandescence, increasing when main exhalations.
From dawn and up to the time of this report it has been noticed a faint emission of steam and gas that wind carried to the east-northeast .
CENAPRED emphasizes that people SHOULD NOT go near the volcano, especially near the crater, due to the hazard caused by ballistic fragments .
This type of activity is included within the scenarios Volcanic Traffic Light Yellow Phase 2.

Chaparrastique , El Salvador :
Continued fluctuations in the recording of seismic activity and gas emissions of the volcano Chaparrastique .

During the last 24 hours the values of the seismic vibration of the volcano fluctuated between 215 and 271 units RSAM averaged over an hour, with an average of 252 units. Small fluctuations continues to be recorded on the data, which means that the movement of fluids persists through volcanic conduits (Figure 1).
The data of sulfur dioxide emissions (SO2), recorded by the DOAS station, located in the municipality of San Jorge continue to show fluctuations, indicating instability of the internal system of the volcano. The statistical average for this measure is between 310 ± 170 tons / day as before the eruption of December 29, 2013.
The images captured by the surveillance camera located on Cerro El Pacayal, continue to show a combination of pulses from the crater and remobilization by the wind of material deposited by the eruption of ash, Tuesday, January 12. The speed of the prevailing wind can increase the intensity of remobilized material that move according to the direction of these winds .
The data collected through monitoring that takes place on the Chaparrastique volcano and changes in the scale of the crater emissions indicate that the internal system of the volcano is unstable and may remain so for the next few days. No increase is spread over the volcano with the possibility of ash emissions and even the appearance of magma to the surface, which is typical for an active volcano.
Including the eruption of December 29, 2013, there were a total of 23 eruptive episodes similar to those currently presented.
