Piton de la Fournaise , La Réunion :
The point yesterday to 20 h.
The weather that day was very bad, it should be better tomorrow, Thursday.
The eruption continues and remains visible.
This activity was more moderate, despite a rapid decline in the intensity of the tremor from day one. Only a crack, 100 m long is active at present. In its upstream point, a small cone was built to 140 meters east of the sign installed by the ONF to locate the crater Rivals. Rhythmic projections escape from the cone under construction. Further downstream, three fountains also continue to operate.
The eruption that began Monday night on the southwest flank of Piton de la Fournaise continues, now stabilized, said the volcano observatory. But yesterday until late afternoon, the Enclos of the volcano remained drowned in the fog, preventing any operation of scientists, with rain all morning especially. What also discourage backpackers who wanted to go towards the Piton de Bert, along the Enclos wall. And the weather forecast for Thursday ahead still grim.
The show has much abated since the end of the night from Monday to Tuesday. Nevertheless, on the cameras of the volcano observatory, an eruptive mouth could be seen last night still active and flows which extended hundreds of meters at least.
The flow of lava was divided by three to twelve hours after onset of the eruption from 30 to 10 cubic meters per second. An important degassing was also observed, detectable up over the southern slopes of the island. Sulfur dioxide plume covered virtually all the Enclos on Tuesday afternoon.

Nevado Del Ruiz, Colombia :
Internal activity level of the Nevado del Ruiz volcano.
Yellow activity level or (III): changes in the behavior of volcanic activity.
Regarding the monitoring of the activity of the Nevado del Ruiz volcano, the SERVICIO Geologico COLOMBIANO through the OBSERVATORIO VULCANOLÓGICO Y SISMOLÓGICO OF MANIZALES, reports that:
During the last week, the volcanic system has continued to be unstable, as shown by the various monitoring parameters. Seismicity was mainly associated with fluid dynamics in volcanic conduits. This activity is mainly located in the crater, east, south and southeast of this one, and was characterized by recording multiple episodes of volcanic tremor, associated with the movement of fluids, gases and ash emissions into the atmosphere.
In addition, continued recording of seismic activity associated with the fracturing of the rock in the volcanic structure. Earthquakes are located mainly in the Northeast, Southeast, Southwest and near the crater at depths between 0.5 and 6.5 kilometers. The maximum magnitude recorded during the week was 2.2 M ml (local magnitude), corresponding to an earthquake located 2.6 km north of Arenas crater, which occurred on August 22 at 8:59 p.m. (local time ) at a depth of 3.77 km. The registration of a significant increase in seismic activity is distinguished, associated both to the fracturing of the rock within the volcano, as well as fluid movements, predominantly located close to the Arenas crater at depths of less than 2.5 km during the day of August 20. Continuous volcanic deformation show changes
The volcano continues to emit into the atmosphere a significant amounts of water vapor, gas, and sulfur dioxide (SO2). The gas and steam column reached a maximum height of 800 meters above the summit of the volcano, and is sometimes seen with gray tones due to the presence of volcanic ash. The direction of the dispersion of the column was in harmony with the wind regime, which remained mostly north-west sector of the volcanic edifice.

Elevation 2003 m
According to the civil protection agency, ONEMI, on 18 August OVDAS-SERNAGEOMIN reported that seismicity at Calbuco fluctuated at low levels and continued to decline, and only water vapor emissions rose from the vents. The Alert Level was lowered to Green (the lowest level on a four-color scale).
ONEMI maintained an elevated Alert Level of Yellow (mid-level on a 3-color scale) for the Llanquihue and Puerto Octay provinces, and an Alert Level Green for Puerto Montt and Puerto Varas. On 21 August the 10-km exclusion zone around the volcano was lifted, but SERNAGEOMIN warned that the 1.5 km exclusion zone around the craters remained in effect and the public should continue to stay away from drainages.
