Russia / North Kuril Islands , Ebeko :

50.69 N, 156.01 E;
Elevation 3792 ft (1156 m)
Aviation Colour Code is ORANGE

A moderate eruptive activity of the volcano continues. Ash explosions up to 19,700 ft (6 km) a.s.l. could occur at any time. Ongoing activity could affect low-flying aircraft and airport of Severo-Kurilsk.

A moderate explosive activity of the volcano continues. According to visual data by volcanologists from Severo-Kurilsk, explosions sent ash up to 4 km a.s.l. all week; ash clouds drifted to the eastern directions from the volcano; ashfalls were noted at Severo-Kurilsk on 27 and 29 November. Satellite data by KVERT showed a weak thermal anomaly over the volcano on 24 November; the volcano was quiet or obscured by clouds in the other days of week.

Chile , Nevados de Chillan :

A powerful eruptive pulse was recorded Thursday on the volcanic complex Nevados de Chillán.

This type of activity, which could be observed from different points of the region, is planned under the orange warning condition in which the massif is recorded since April 2018, so this does not imply a change in the type of alert.

Similarly, the civil protection system maintains a radius of 3 kilometers around active craters as an exclusion zone and access to this area is still restricted.

As a result of the foregoing, the Onemi maintains the YELLOW alert level for the municipalities of Pinto, Coihueco and San Fabián, in force since December 31, 2015.

Italy / Sicily , Etna :

From Boris Behncke.

Strombolian activity continues with the emission of a small lava flow from the eastern mouth (« u puttusiddu ») of the New Southeast Crater of Etna. Compared to the last days, explosions are more frequent, sometimes almost continuous. The craters of the North-East and Bocca Nuova also continue their intra-crateric activity.

The mouth on the eastern flank of Etna (New Southeast Crater) of Etna yesterday morning, just before dawn. As can be seen clearly in the pictures, she shows a « light » Strombolian-type activity that has formed a small cone of slag inside.

I want to remind you that this activity, which is completely confined to the craters of the summit, * does not represent any threat * for the populated areas around Mount Etna, it does not even produce ashes: it is the most beautiful activity imaginable from the point of view of impact on the territory.

Guatemala , Fuego :

VOLCANOLOGICAL SPECIAL BULLETIN BEFGO N ° 225-2018. DESCENT OF STRONGS LAHARS IN THE SECA, SANTA TERESA AND MINERAL RAVINES Guatemala 29 November 2018, 13:40 (local time).

Type of activity: Vulcanian
Morphology: Stratovolcan Composite
Location: 14 ° 28’54˝ Latitude N; 90 ° 52’54˝ Longitude W.
Height: 3,763msnm.

Due to heavy rains recorded yesterday and today in the volcanic zone, the descent of strong lahars is reported in Barrancas Seca, Santa Teresa and El Mineral. These ravines are tributaries of the Pantaleón River, the lahares affect access roads and vehicular passages between: San Pedro Yepocapa and Sangre de Cristo, Finca Palo Verde and El Porvenir.

This video was not shot on the Fuego, but in Indonesia, on the Semeru volcano. I published it because it represents the destructive force of a lahar. (Note from Cauldron).

These lahar can descend hot, with degassing columns and give off a smell of sulfur. They carry volcanic materials, ashes, sand and blocks 1 to 3 meters in diameter that vibrate the ground and generate sounds of rock shock. These materials have been deposited by constant eruptive activity and it is expected that this activity will continue to be presented.
Because of the rains on the volcanic complex, lahars can be generated by other ravines in the next few hours. It is therefore not recommended to stay in the ravines or nearby.

Costa Rica , Turrialba :

Daily report on the state of volcanoes. OVSICORI-UNA, Date: November 29, 2018, Updated at: 11:07:00 AM.

Turrialba Volcano:

Since 22 November 2018, the Turrialba volcano has been erupting continuously. Its emission column is 500 meters above the height of the crater and at 3,840 meters above sea level. (meters above sea level, 12595.2 ft).

The seismic activity is similar to that of yesterday.

At the time of this report, the winds blow from the northwest.

Yesterday, pulsations of ash were observed and this morning, a continuous emission of ashes was observed. At the time of this report, the weather conditions prevent seeing the activity of the volcano. Ash falls have been reported in Sabanilla Montes de Oca, Zapote, Curridabat, Desamparados, San Rafael de Heredia and Barva.
