Activity Summary:
No significant change. No lava is entering the ocean at this time. Kīlauea Volcano continues to erupt at its summit and from the Puʻu ʻŌʻō vent on its East Rift Zone. The episode 61g lava flow is producing scattered surface flow activity. Active lava flows pose no threat to nearby communities at this time. Yesterday afternoon, the surface of the lava lake at the Kīlauea summit was 36.5 m (120 ft) below the floor of Halemaʻumaʻu. There have been no significant changes in ground deformation, seismicity, or gas release across the volcano.

Summit Observations:
The lava lake surface was 36.5 m (120 ft) below the rim of the Overlook Vent yesterday afternoon and the lake level dropped further overnight. Summit tiltmeters continue to record slight deflationary tilt. Sulfur dioxide emission rates remain high. Seismicity is at normal levels, with tremor fluctuations related to lava lake spattering.

Puʻu ʻŌʻō Observations:
No significant changes are evident at Puʻu ʻŌʻō. The sulfur dioxide emission rate from the East Rift Zone vents has been steady over the past several months and remains significantly lower than the summit emission rate.

Lava Flow Observations:
The episode 61g flow is still active, but no lava is flowing into the ocean. Based on HVO field observations yesterday and overnight web camera images, surface lava flow activity persists on the upper portion of the flow field, on the pali, and in scattered areas along the coastal plain. These lava flows pose no threat to nearby communities at this time.

Lewotolo , Indonesia :

Activity Level of Level II (WASPADA). The Gunung Ili Lewotolo (1319 m) often shows seismic crises that are closely related to local tectonic activity in the northern part of the volcano. Visually since yesterday until this morning, the volcano has been observed covered with mist. When the weather was sunny it was noted smoke emissions rising 10 m above the crater. The wind was blowing slightly eastward.

Thanks to seismographic recordings, on December 30, 2017, it was recorded:
– 86 earthquakes of emission
– 1 volcanic earthquake
– 1 tectonic earthquake

Recommendations:
Communities around G. Ili Lewotolok and visitors / hikers / tourists must not enter, ascend, and have no activity in the danger zone in the crater area and the entire area within a radius 2 km around the G Ili Lewotolo activity center.

VONA:
The last registered color code is yellow, published on October 9, 2017 at 9:26 am, earthquake swarm in the crater associated with a thin white smoke that had reached a height of 1923 m above sea level or 500 m above the summit. The wind was blowing in the west.

The National Geological and Mining Service of Chile (Sernageomin) communicates the following information, obtained through the monitoring equipment of the National Volcanic Monitoring Network (RNVV), processed and analyzed at the Volcanological Observatory of the Southern Andes . (OVDAS):

Today, Sunday, December 30 at 11:28 local time (14:28 GMT), monitoring stations installed near the volcano Descabezado Grande recorded an earthquake associated with the fracturing of the rock (Volcano-Tectonics).
The event was located 2 km from the main crater.

The characteristics of the earthquake prior to its analysis are as follows:

TIME OF ORIGIN: 11:28 local time (14:28 GMT).
LATITUDE: 35 ° 35 ’10. 20 « S
LONGITUDE: 70 ° 45 ‘0.60 « W
DEPTH: 2 Km
LOCAL AMPLITUDE: M 3.2 (ML)

A moderate eruptive activity of the volcano continues. According to satellite data by KVERT, gas-steam plumes containing some amount of ash extended for about 220 km to the eastern directions from the volcano on 22-25 December; a weak thermal anomaly over the volcano was noting on 22 December.
