Agung , Indonesia :

On the basis of the results of the visual and instrumental data analysis and considering the potential threats of danger, on November 27, 2017 at 06:00, the status of G. Agung was raised from Level III (SIAGA) to Level IV (AWAS) . Since yesterday and until today visually the volcano is clearly visible until the appearance of the mist. A thick gray-white, medium-pressure ash column reaches a height of about 1000 to 2000 m above the summit and slopes west and northwest. At night, the glow of the incandescent lava in the crater of the volcano is observed. That day, there was 1 explosive eruption at 5:49 am, with a thick gray emission column high of 2500m inclined to the West. Yesterday, the recorded tremor increased in the period from 14:00 to 15:00 to reach a maximum amplitude of 10 mm.

Seismograph records as of December 10, 2017 have noted:
1 shallow volcanic earthquakes (VB)
1 deep volcanic earthquake (VA)
1 local tectonic earthquakes.
1 earthquake of eruption.
23 events of the type Low Frequency.
48 earthquakes emission.
No harmonic tremor.
A continuous tremor with an amplitude of 1 to 10 mm and a dominant value of 1 mm.

As of December 10, 2017 (00:00 to 18:00) it has been registered:
14 earthquakes of emission
1 earthquake of eruption.
8 low frequency earthquakes.
2 shallow volcanic earthquakes (VB)
3 deep volcanic earthquakes (VA)
No local tectonic earthquakes.
No harmonic tremor.
A continuous tremor with an amplitude of 1 to 2 mm and a dominant value of 1 mm.

Recommendations:
Communities around G. Agung and mountaineers / visitors / tourists must not climb, climb or do any activity in the danger zone around the G. Agung crater area and in all areas within 8 km from the crater of G. Agung. With a sectoral extension to the North-East and South-East-South-South-West up to 10 km from the crater of G. Agung. The estimated area risks are dynamic and continuously assessed and can be modified at any time based on the most recent observational data from G. Agung.

Information from the Geophysical Institute – EPN

Activity level of the surface: High. Surface activity trend: No change
Internal: No data. Internal trend: No data
Seismicity (events): There is no recorded seismicity for the present.
Rain / lahars: No rain.

Emission / Ash column: In the morning of today the volcano appeared cleared and ash emissions were observed with a height greater than 600 meters at the summit with a direction of dispersion towards the West. The other monitoring parameters are without any change.

Observations: Most of the time, the volcano area was cloudy. At night, the incandescence and the descent of blocks along the southern flank of the volcano were observed, up to 200 meters below the crater level. The monitoring stations are out of order, there is no seismic recording.

The Institute of Geophysics of the École Polytechnique reports that:
The volcano maintains a high surface activity. Most of the time the area of ​​the volcano was cloudy, however, incandescence was sometimes observed with the rolling of blocks up to 200 meters below the level of the crater on the southern flank of the volcano. At this moment the area of ​​the volcano is cloudy. No rain was recorded.
The Institute of Geophysics of the Ecole Polytechnique is attentive to the activity of the volcano and will inform any changes that may occur.

Ol Doinyo Lengai , Tanzania :

The OL DOINYO LENGAÏ volcano (Tanzania) is erupting!
The monitoring of this volcano nicknamed « the mountain of the gods » by local Masai, is quite complicated because it is neither monitored nor in a very inhabited area … However, this volcano is unique in the world because the lava that it emits is … black!

The summit of Ol Doinyo Lengai. The crater was formed in 2007 and thus partly conceals the eruptive activity (except for a drone) whereas before this eruption, the lava animated various active vents on a floor that could be explored …

This specificity comes from its very particular chemical composition since it is poor in silicon and rich in carbonates (sodium and calcium). And to make this crater even more special, this carbonatite becomes lighter during its cooling …
Unlike other volcanoes in the world, a black area indicates activity … which is the case at the moment, as revealed in this series of photos taken a few days ago and broadcast by Volcanodiscovery.

Fuego , Guatemala :

The eruption No. 12-2017 of the Fuego volcano maintains the same eruptive pattern as that observed in the seismogram of the FG3 station. The Fuego Volcano Observatory (OBVFGO) reports constant explosions with moderate characteristics. These generate columns of ash reaching an altitude of about 5000 meters (16,404 feet), which move more than 15 kilometers to the Southwest, South and Southeast. The incandescent source reaches a height of about 500 meters above the crater and feeds three lava flows, first to the ravine SECA (Santa Teresa) 1500 meters long, the second to the ravine Ceniza, 800 meters long and the third towards Taniluyá Canyon, 300 meters long.

The explosions are accompanied by moderate rumblings that give rise to a moderate to strong shock wave, causing vibrations in the roofs of houses near the volcano, constant sounds similar to train locomotives. Ash falls are generated in the surrounding areas: La Rochela, San Andrés Osuna, Morelia, Panimache I and II. There is the possibility of ash falling at Escuintla.
According to the observations of the seismic activity, the energy of the explosions is maintained, there is the possibility that pyroclastic flows are generated, it is therefore disadvised to stay inside or near the ravines.

Popocatepetl , Mexico :

December 10, 11:00 h (December 10, 17:00 GMT)

In the last 24 hours, through the monitoring systems of the Popocatépetl volcano, 309 low intensity exhalations were identified, accompanied by a continuous emission of water vapor and gas. In addition yesterday an explosion was recorded at 5:03 pm with moderate ash content and column height of 2.5 km, which winds dispersed to the northeast  , as well as four volcanotectonic earthquakes, of which two were recorded yesterday at 2:25 pm and 4:47 pm with magnitude of 2.1 and 2.3, the two remaining today at 07:43 and 09:09 with magnitude of 1.8 and 1.3, respectively; in addition to 235 minutes of tremor of low amplitude.

In addition to the 20:39 hrs, an episode of strombolian activity began to be recorded with the expulsion of incandescent fragments on the upper slopes of the volcanic cone, as well as the ash emission that the winds scatter towards the east .

Today the volcano is observed with an emission of water vapor and gas to the northeast .

CENAPRED urges NOT TO APPROACH the volcano and above all the crater, due to the danger of the fall of ballistic fragments  and in case of heavy rains to move away from the bottoms of ravines due to the risk of landslides and mudflows.
