According to data by Tokyo VAAC, an ash eruption on the volcano began for about 18:30 UTC on 03 December. An ash cloud FL090. According to satellite data by KVERT, an ash cloud in size 16×12 km was in the distance 92 km from the volcano at 21:17 UTC on 03 December.
A moderate activity of the volcano continues. A danger of ash explosions up to 16,400-23,000 ft (5-7 km) a.s.l. is remains. Ongoing activity could affect low-flying aircraft.

Seismo-volcanic surveillance:
 Seismic activity levels during this period remained within normal parameters. In general, the dominant activity in the Ticsani volcano region is subject to rock fracture events (type VT). This seismicity was in the form of swarms (grouping of earthquakes in a period of time).
 VTP earthquakes (Volcano-Tectonic Proximal), related to rock fracturing, have an average rate of 15 VT per day, similar to the previous period (Report No. 21, 14 VT). A peak of seismicity was observed on November 29 due to the presence of a seismic swarm where up to 120 events were recorded.
 VTD earthquakes (distal volcano-tectonic earthquakes) are observed in small numbers. An average rate similar to the previous period was recorded, with 6 VTDs per day.
 The occurrence of Hybrid events is sporadic. During this period, the occurrence of this type of event was not observed.

Location of events:
Calculation of hypocentral parameters for 43 fracture type earthquakes was performed. As it is characteristic, the seismicity is of superficial type and on this occasion earthquakes having reached a depth of 13 km compared to the surface of the crater were observed. The spatial distribution shows a small group of earthquakes near the Ticsani volcano. Localized earthquakes reached amplitudes not exceeding 3.0 ML (local magnitude).

Conclusions:
 Sismo-volcanic activity in the Ticsani region maintains low levels. The predominant events in this region are associated with rock fracture and located near Ticsani.
 VTP earthquakes have a daily rate of 15 VTP per day. A swarm of proximal fracture type earthquakes was also observed on November 29th. VTD type seismicity continues to have low levels of its daily seismicity rate.
 Regarding the spatial distribution of the fracturing earthquakes, a small group near the Ticsani volcano has been observed.

Popocatépetl , Mexico :

December 03, 11:00 h (December 03, 17:00 GMT)

In the last 24 hours, through the seismic records of the Popocatépetl volcano monitoring systems, 450 low intensity exhalations accompanied by water vapor and gas were identified. In addition, four low intensity explosions were identified: The most important occurred at 2:28 pm yesterday  ; at 00:43 today  and at 01:49 today . These events produced ash emissions of up to 1.5 km in height that were dispersed by the winds towards the southwest.

On the other hand, a volcanotectonic earthquake with magnitude 2.3 was recorded. 230 minutes of harmonic tremor were recorded.

From today in the morning until the moment of this report the volcano has been observed with a slight emission of water vapor and gas that the winds scatter to the southwest.

CENAPRED urges NOT TO APPROACH the volcano and above all the crater, due to the danger of the fall of ballistic fragments , and in case of heavy rains to move away from the bottoms of ravines due to the risk of landslides and mudflows.
