Activity Summary:
Kīlauea Volcano continues to erupt at its summit and from the Puʻu ʻŌʻō vent on its East Rift Zone. The episode 61g lava flow from Puʻu ʻŌʻō continues to enter the ocean at Kamokuna. Surface flows are active above the pali, as well as on the coastal plain, within 950 m (0.6 mi) of the pali base. These flows pose no threat to nearby communities. The summit lava lake was about 26 m (85 ft) below the Overlook crater rim when measured this morning. There have been no significant changes in seismicity levels or ground deformation trends across the volcano.


Summit Observations:
No significant change in ground tilt was measured by summit tiltmeters during the past day. Similarly, the lava lake level did not change much and this morning it was measured to be 26 m (85 ft) below the Overlook crater rim. Summit tremor continues to fluctuate in response to variations in lava lake spattering and earthquakes occurred at normal, background rates. Summit sulfur dioxide emission rates remain high.

The Kamokuna ocean entry was active, with breakouts occurring from the encasement and at the ocean’s edge. Stress fractures in the delta point toward another probable bench collapse occurring in the near future.

Puʻu ʻŌʻō Observations:
Webcam images continue to show persistent glow from long-term sources at Puʻu ʻŌʻō, including glow from a small lava pond on the west side of the crater. No significant change in tilt was recorded by a nearby tiltmeter and there was no significant change in East Rift Zone seismicity. The sulfur dioxide emission rate from the East Rift Zone vents has been steady over the past several months and remains significantly lower than the summit emission rate.

Lava escapes advance on the Pali. ( Pali is a Hawaiian term that denotes a cliff, a steep slope or a precipice in Hawaii )

Lava Flow Observations:
The episode 61g flow is still active and entering the ocean at Kamokuna. Several large cracks have developed in the lava delta, though its size and shape have not changed much in the past several days. The cracks run parallel to the coastline and span the width of the delta. Cracks such as these are a reminder that the delta is inherently unstable and prone to collapse.

Weekly activity bulletin of the volcano Nevado del Ruiz, from 04 July to 10 July 2017
The level of activity continues: at the level of yellow (III) activity: changes in the behavior of the volcanic activity.

As regards the monitoring of the activity of the Nevado del Ruiz volcano, the Colombian Geological Survey reports that:

Over the past week, the various monitoring parameters show that the volcano Nevado del Ruiz continues to exhibit unstable behavior.

The seismicity caused by the fracturing of the rocks, showed a slight increase in the number of recorded earthquakes as well as the seismic energy released compared to the previous week. During this period, there were two increases in activity related to rock fracturing. The first, recorded on July 4th, was in the southeastern zone at depths between 2.9 and 4.0 km. The maximum amplitude recorded during this increase, which corresponds to the maximum recorded during the week, was 2.4 ML (local magnitude) for the earthquake at 13:46 (local time), located at 2.6 km To the south-east of the Arenas crater, at a depth of 3.6 km. The second increase was recorded between 09 and 10 July in the northern distal zone at depths between 5.6 and 7.0 km.

The maximum amplitude recorded during this increase was 2.0 ML (local magnitude), which corresponds to an earthquake recorded on 10 July at 01:12 (local time), located 7.3 km north of the Arenas crater at a depth of 5.4 km. The other active seismic sources in the week were the sources of the Arenas crater and the west, with earthquakes located at depths between 0.5 and 4.6 km.

The seismic activity associated with the fluid dynamics within the volcanic structure remained at the same level of seismicity, the number of recorded earthquakes and the seismic energy released, compared to the previous week. This type of activity is mainly characterized by the occurrence of several seismic events of long period fluid, very long period and tremor pulses with a low energy level and variable durations.

Volcanic deformation, measured from electronic inclinometers, continues to record months of deflation and small intermittent inflation / deflation pulses that could be related to ash emissions.

In the tracking information provided by the NASA and FIRMES Mírová website, no thermal anomaly was identified during the week.

The volcano Nevado del Ruiz continues to activity level Amarillo.

Fuego , Guatemala :

End of the eruptive crisis.

The Fuego Volcano Observatory (OVFGO) and the FG3 seismic report indicate that after 31 hours of eruption, the Fuego volcano returned to a level that is considered normal, with a decrease in recording tremor (internal vibration) generated by the rise of the magma. The sounds generated by the eruption, such as explosions and degassing, are sporadic and weak.


Low to moderate ash explosions amounting to 4.600 meters (15.091 feet) moving about 6 km to the west are observed. It must be borne in mind that the eruption is over, but there are still ashes scattered on the western flank for a distance of twenty-five kilometers, which will disappear within hours. It should also be taken into account that gusts of wind could cause particles over a greater distance, so take precautions for air navigation.
When lava flows, they remain active, but without power, they will disappear in a few hours. This eruption did not generate pyroclastic flows, but there is volcanic material abundant in the canyon so the risk of descent of lahars moderate to strong remains.

Bromo , Indonesia :

A great hope for good fortune.

The inhabitants of the Tengger were therefore considered the guardians of the place.

The festival, which falls on the 14th day of the month of Kasada in the traditional Hindu lunar calendar, sees worshipers offering fruits, vegetables, livestock, flowers or rice as a way to thank and seek blessings from the of God.

The poorest people recover these offers because they believe that this will give them luck.
