The activity of the volcano is moderate.
Continuous emissions of vapor and  ash is recorded, with heights up to 2000 meters, heading North and Northwest . At night , glow was observed in the crater, incandescent blocks are descended until 1,200 meters below the summit. So far it has reports of ash fall to the west of the volcano. It was recorded rainfall which generate lahars on the western flank.



From 11:00 (TL) yesterday until 11:00 (TL) today, a continuous tremor emission was maintained (TREM) and 28 explosions (EXP) were recorded.
Observations of emissions and ashes:
Yesterday morning were heard rumblings intense, emissions have continued, ejecting clouds of gray ash up to 1,000 meters above the crater in Northwest direction. Pyroclastic flows that go down into the Quebrada Romero sector to 1000 meters below the crater and in the Quebrada Achupashal sector up to 500 meters below the crater were recorded. In the afternoon, the roars were more intense than in the morning, and emissions were heading north at a height of 2000 meters above the crater.

During the night, the rumbling were intensified and it was observed glow in the crater. Emissions of incandescents blocks were noted up to 1200 meters below the crater, on all sides. The day was cloudy,and , in the clouds, a steam emission with a moderate load ashes to the North-West that reached 800 meters above the peak was observed.
there was ash falls reports in areas of Jewish, Quero, Cusúa Chacauco.
Rain and lahars:
Some rain in the morning that generated mudflows (lahars) in the ravines of Achupashal, Jewish, Pondoa, Mandur, Pingullo, Rea Chontapamba were recorded.
Note that the mudslide that descended through the ravines of Pingullo Cusúa led to the closure of the road.

If the rains are more intense in the volcano area, they can re-mobilize deposits from pyroclastic flows and generate lahars . For this reason, we recommend extreme caution when driving on roads and highways that pass through the gorges or these flows went down and in the regions which in the past have been affected by this kind of phenomenon.

Observations of emissions and ashes:
Yesterday afternoon, continuous vapor emissions were observed with a moderate load of ash that reached an altitude of 2500 m, in a westerly direction. These events were also accompanied by rumbling.
During the night, the volcano was completely clear, and it could be observed glow in the crater , incandescent blocks rolling down his sides up to 2000 meters below the crater.At dawn and this morning, the volcano was clear, and at 09:30 (TL), explosions were recorded, which generated the vibration of the ground and windows in areas near the volcano. These events were also accompanied by pyroclastic flows that came down to about 1000m below the level of the crater in the gullies of Achupashal, Rea, Pondoa, Mandur.

So far there are reports of many gray ash fall in areas of Pillate, Bilbao, Choglontús, Pelileo.

Momotombo volcano.
In the last 24 hours, there were 53 small explosions with low energy gas columns with a height of 300 meters above the crater.
The emission of volcanic ash from explosions lasted up to 6 hours continuously, which is dispersed to the west and southwest.


It is recommended for the general population, to protect the water supply for human consumption and animals, as well as perform the cleaning of roofs that could be damaged by the weight of the ash.
The micro-seismic activity of the volcano suggests the continuation of gas explosions and ash, there is even the possibility of somewhat stronger explosions that can expel incandescent rocks on the slopes of the volcano.
The seismic amplitude in real time (RSAM) is at low to moderate values, between 30 250 units.

Telica volcano.
The frequency of explosions in the Telica volcano has also increased, it was registered 15 low-energy explosions in the last 24 hours, for a total of 39 explosions this year.


The largest explosion was recorded at 9:14 today, which launched a column of gas and ash about 1,000 meters above the crater. The ashes were scattered to the west and southwest.
The seismic amplitude in real time (RSAM) ranges at low to moderate values, between 30 and 160 units.

Masaya volcano.
The activity of the lava lake in the crater Santiago continues, with strong lava flow in the mouth located in the southwest part of the crater.


Volcanic tremor remains high, and seismic amplitude in real time (RSAM) varies with moderate to very high values between 500 and 1200 units.
The possibility of explosions occurred in the Santiago crater with gas expulsions of ash and incandescent rocks persists.

ALAID VOLCANO increases eruptive state

4 MARCH 2016. The island volcano, Alaid, increases in eruptive intensity. Alaid, located in the Pacific Ocean not far from Kamchatka has began to erupt ashes. Scientists believe that the giant’s eruptiive activity has increased.

According to the Kamchatka Group Volcanic Eruption Response (KVERT), today at 3:45 Kamchatka time, satellite pictures show the Alaid ash plume. Volcanic emissions extendrd to a height of about three kilometers above sea level, going in a north-west direction.

Based on the analysis of information obtained from monitoring equipment and surveillance of the volcanic complex, the Servicio Nacional de Geologia y Mineria (SERNAGEOMIN) -Observatorio Volcanológico Los Andes del Sur (OVDAS) announces:

It was recorded five hundred sixty-nine (579) seismic events, sixty-five of which (65) were associated with rock fracturing processes, called volcano-tectonic earthquakes (VT) with a local maximum amplitude (ML) of M 2.7. On the other hand, five hundred and ten (510) earthquakes associated with fluid dynamics within the volcanic edifice, called long-period events (LP) with a lower maximum local magnitude (ML) of M 2.1 to reduced travel (DRC) to 30cm2. were recorded
In addition, four (4) pulses of tremor (TR) discreet, also associated with the fluid dynamics inside the volcano, with a reduced displacement of less than 2.0cm2 were recorded.

Therefore, the volcanic alert remains at yellow level considered high risk area in the present state, including the area within 2 km from the active craters. Therefore, it is recommended to restrict access to this area.
