The eruption continues with no significant change. When observed yesterday on location, the Barujari cone was in violent strombolian activity and the lava flow was still weakly alimented, creating a small steam plume at the lake entry of the flow.
Impressively, the lake temperature has risen so much that large parts of the surface are steaming. The volcanic activity has been producing only smaller ash plumes during the past days, which did no longer affect air traffic to / from Lombok and Rinjani

Visual observation showed that the eruption of Barujari mainly produces ash, pyroclastic drops that fall on the cone and streams of lava that flow to the northwest and northeast of the crater Barujari in the lake of the caldera of Rinjani. The lava flow which flows to the north-east came into the lake and reached the inner wall of the caldera covering the area Pagar Batu. The contact between the lava and the water produced clouds of thick white smoke that are primarily water vapor.

The threat of an eruption that could endanger human life directly, in the form of impacts of   pyroclastic lapilli (2-64 mm) and / or bombs (> 64mm) and lava flows, is always present in the Rinjani caldera, and within 3 km from the eruption center. Clouds of ash eruptions (size <2 mm) spread inside and outside the caldera of Rinjani depending on the wind direction and speed. There are no reports of casualties or damage to buildings due to volcanic ash rain.


So far, the eruption is ongoing as indicated by the continuous tremors that is always recorded with an amplitude above the normal background level. The calculation of seismic amplitude (RSAM) to date shows a fluctuating trend of activity with a downward trend.
Analysis of the dominant frequency of the earthquake indicate the occurrence of a transition which has gone from a wide frequency band to a narrow frequency band, which indicates the transition from a closed system activity to activity open, on November 2, 2015.
This transition is then correlated with the beginning of the effusive phase in the form of lava that continues to this day. This also indicates that, so far, there is no tendency to an explosive eruption with very high levels. However, the lower-middle eruption (lava flows and Strombolian eruptions  ) continues to occur with a maximum value of about VEI ~ II.

The measurement of the temperature of the lake Segara Anak water indicates that the water temperature is increased from the range of 20.0 / 21.0 ° C (June 2015) to a range of 36.7 / 38 0 ° C (9 November 2015). The temperature of the hot springs rose from 41.0 ° C to 44.5 ° C
The results of PVMBG tests also show that the entry of lava flows into Segara Anak Lake has increased the water level of 1 meter, which has implications on water flow changes in the river Kokok Putih.
Measures to the hydroelectric station Koko Putih (lk. 10 km to the North-East of Lake Segara Anak) showed that the water flow increased, the flow is> 2 times higher than under normal conditions, is of the order of 0.4 m3 / s to about 0.9 m3 / sec. Although Segara Anak Lake overflows, so far there has been no reported flooding.

Ubinas, Peru :

The recording of LP type of earthquakes associated with fluid movement, decreased in activity and energy in relation to the quantity and energy observed in the previous period. For this week, the average frequency rate recorded was 204 LP / day (against 472 LP / day Report No. 47). The energy level remains low, around 6MJ / day.
Regarding the hybrid seismic activity related to the rise of magma, it continues to be recorded, while maintaining a downward trend since November 5. This week, 11 hybrid / day were observed. Regarding hybrid energy levels, they had low values.

The type of VT seismicity (earthquakes type rock fracturing) increased during this period, showing a daily rate of 87 VT / day. This suggests increased pressure under the volcano. The energy levels were low.
Tremor type of events related to issuance of ash has accumulated during the period of 33 hours of presence, 30% more than in the previous period.

The activity of the volcano Ubinas during the last week was recorded by Campbell Scientific camera installed by the IGP in the vicinity of the volcano. Throughout this period, constant clouds covered the volcano area, alternating with small moments of slightly cloudy sky.
Thus, it has been observed between 10 and 15 November vapor emission and sporadic ash. The largest took place on 13, scattering the ashes to the south and southwest of the volcano. This emission has reached a height of 1500 m above the base of the crater. Similarly, on November 14, intermittent pulses of ash were observed, with a maximum height of 600 meters.

Rincón de la Vieja , Costa Rica :

Sludge from phreatic eruptions of the Rincón de la Vieja were found by volcanologists to Copelares, a site located two kilometers from the crater.
A detailed report of the National Seismological Network (RSN) and the Science Research Center of the Earth (CICG), both from the University of Costa Rica (UCR), was published on November 15.
This observation has been made by volcanologists Raul Mora, Gino Gonzalez, Carlos Ramirez and Yemerith ALPIZAR, during an inspection made between Wednesday and Friday.
The document indicates that the waste of sludge were observed on sheets of different kinds of ferns and shrubs. Raul Mora said that perhaps this material was swept away by the wind.

The experts said the hot lake has a large vent and the gas cloud reached up to 300 meters high.
In addition, the report indicates that the water level in the lake has dropped than two meters compared to other measurements made in July.
They also said that during a period of half past one, they recorded 19 phreatic eruptions, which reached between 10 and 20 meters high.
Scientists have confirmed, as they did on November 6, in the North East of the volcano, there is a significant accumulation of material, which could cause lahars (mudflows, stone).
